About

Dr. Alex

With over 29 years of veterinary experience, Dr. Alex brings exceptional expertise to our practice. A graduate of McMaster University (Biology) and the Ontario Veterinary College at Guelph University (1986), he has developed specialized knowledge in Pain Management, Dentistry, Internal Medicine, and Dermatology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Alex has pursued advanced certification in Dentistry, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and Veterinary Surgery, while maintaining active participation in Continuing Education programs to stay at the forefront of veterinary medicine.

His practice philosophy centers on compassionate, attentive listening—ensuring pet owners never feel rushed during consultations. Dr. Alex believes in collaborative care, working closely with “pet parents” to address all concerns thoroughly and develop comprehensive treatment plans.

As he puts it: “My life’s work is dedicated to helping pets and their families, maintaining the highest standards of compassionate medical care so my patients can enjoy long, happy lives with their families.”

Dr. Alex lives and works in his beloved North Toronto neighborhood with his wife, two children, and their black cat, Luna.

Dr. Erica

Dr. Erica joined our practice after graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2022. Having completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph before pursuing her DVM, she brings fresh perspectives and contemporary training to our team.

Growing up as the daughter of Dr. Alex, Erica has been surrounded by animals throughout her life. Her summers spent working in the clinic fostered strong connections with both clients and their furry family members—relationships she continues to value in her professional practice.

Dr. Erica is particularly passionate about nurturing the human-animal bond and believes that strong veterinarian-client relationships are essential for providing appropriate care. Her professional interests include client communication, dermatology, surgery, ophthalmology, anesthesia, and pain management.

She aims to continue the high standard of veterinary care established in the practice while helping her patients lead long, happy, and healthy lives.

Outside of work, Erica enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family—including her 8-year-old black cat, Luna!
