Our Veterinarians

Dr. Nancy Pouteau-Stock, DVM

With roots on a family dairy farm in southern Manitoba, Dr. Nancy brings a unique background to our team. Before pursuing veterinary medicine, she earned a degree in Medical Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba and worked in a Winnipeg hospital. Her veterinary journey began with graduation from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000, followed by positions in mixed animal practices in Ponoka, AB and Morden, MB.

Since joining the Animal Health Clinic in 2010, Dr. Nancy has worked part-time, enjoying both large and small animal medicine. She balances her professional life with family time on their acreage, where she and her husband raise five children. When not caring for patients, she stays busy with her kids’ school activities, sports teams, and youth programs at their church.

Dr. Kim Hoshizaki, DVM & Owner

Dr. Kim’s path to veterinary medicine began in Armstrong, British Columbia. After completing an undergraduate degree in agriculture at UBC Vancouver, she moved to Saskatchewan and graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Her career started with Dr. Jim Sawatsky at Animal Management Services, and in 2009, she purchased the practice, renaming it Animal Health Clinic of Humboldt.

As an enthusiastic mixed animal practitioner, Dr. Kim finds working with various species and their owners keeps life interesting and rewarding. She has built her life in the community alongside her husband and two children, and recently welcomed a dog named Kona to their family.
