Founded in 1959 by Dr. Elmer Clark, Birchwood Animal Hospital stands as west Winnipeg’s oldest small animal practice and the province’s second oldest veterinary hospital. Our legacy of exceptional care continues through our team of experienced veterinarians, including Dr. Philipp Schott (1990), Dr. Andrea Robertson (2000), Dr. Jillian Preston (2002), Dr. Brad Safiniuk (2005), Dr. Leanne Boyd (2007), Dr. Stacey Hannah (2012), Dr. Matt Remple (2022), and Dr. Paige Hinton (2024).

As the largest full-service small animal practice in west Winnipeg, we take pride in remaining independently and locally owned.
