Dr. Alexandra Jerao, DVM – Your Compassionate Veterinary Care Provider

Dr. Alex Jerao brings a unique perspective to veterinary medicine, shaped by her early experiences at her family’s animal rescue center, D’Arcy’s A.R.C. in Winnipeg. A 2017 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, she combines formal education with hands-on experience in shelter medicine and private practice.

As a Fear-Free Certified veterinarian, Dr. Jerao is dedicated to creating stress-free experiences for all her patients. Her professional focus encompasses animal welfare, preventive care, and public health. She has served as both a shelter veterinarian at the Winnipeg Humane Society and continues her commitment to animal welfare as an associate veterinarian at D’Arcy’s A.R.C.
In 2021, Dr. Jerao founded Companion Veterinary Corporation, expanding her practice as a locum veterinarian throughout the Winnipeg area. Her ongoing pursuit of knowledge includes graduate studies in public health at the University of Waterloo, reflecting her commitment to both animal and public health.
