Dr. Carol Ross

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Carol grew up on a farm near Arrowwood, AB, where her love for agriculture flourished through activities from cattle work to equipment repair. Her youth included active participation in 4-H Beef, softball, basketball, and dance.

In practice, Carol has developed exceptional skills in mobility-restoring surgeries, including fracture repairs and stifle procedures. As our designated clinic dentist, she divides her time between our Estevan and Weyburn locations, performing dental surgeries three days weekly to help pets maintain pain-free mouths.

Her spirited Corgi/Heeler “Marley” often accompanies her at work. Away from the clinic, Carol enthusiastically supports her children Jaycee, Hugh, and Sydney at their swimming, hockey, and dance activities. Summer finds her with a paddle board atop her car, answering the call of calm waters for peaceful lake outings.

Known for leaving encouraging notes for her team members, Carol genuinely appreciates their extraordinary care for patients – comparing their skills to Wayne Gretzky’s legendary hockey talents.

Dr. Jeremy Ross

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Jeremy’s veterinary ambitions began in childhood on his family ranch near Estevan. His natural inclination toward science and biology, combined with his love for animals and medicine, made veterinary medicine the perfect career path.

He approaches patient care with three fundamental goals: understanding client needs, providing optimal animal care, and maintaining safety for both his team and patients.

Jeremy shares his zest for life with his three children – Jaycee, Sydney, and Hugh. His daily joy comes from his pets: Jewel (a cowboy corgi), JJ (his cat), and six horses that claim more of his attention than any human in his life.

Dr. Karly Lanz

Associate Veterinarian

Raised on an acreage near Qu’Appelle, SK, Dr. Karly has been riding horses since age three and grew up surrounded by cats, dogs, and roping cattle. Her active childhood balanced rodeo competitions in barrel racing and team roping with competitive ice hockey and ringette, plus hunting and fishing adventures.

Following her lifelong dream of becoming an “animal doctor,” Karly completed three years of a BSc at the University of Regina before entering the veterinary program at Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon.

Since graduating in 2009, Karly has embraced mixed practice, joining Prairie Animal Health Centre in Estevan in December 2013. As a certified veterinary acupuncturist with veterinary herbal medicine credentials, she practices integrative medicine that combines western and alternative approaches. Her individualized care philosophy recognizes each patient’s unique symptoms, temperament, and treatment response.

Outside work, Karly enjoys farm visits, travel, camping, hunting, fishing, and quality time with family and friends.

Dr. Greg Douglas

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Greg brings diverse experience from industry, government, and clinical practice in Ontario. A 1991 graduate of Western College of Veterinary Medicine, he specializes in surgery, emergency management, and animal welfare.

His extensive background includes an externship at New York’s Animal Medical Center, critical care practice in Hawaii, and numerous locum positions throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta.

During his government service, Greg amended the Saskatchewan Animal Protection Act, implemented Ontario’s Animal Health Act, and managed disease outbreaks nationwide. In the private sector, he developed Maple Leaf Foods’ animal care strategy.

Greg has happily returned to Weyburn, his hometown, celebrating it as an exceptional community with outstanding people.
